Road Trip!
I love a good road trip. The thought of spending hours with my wife and children inside a car or van in close quarters is appealing to me as a father and family man. During this time growth occurs.
There is nothing easy about a family road trip with multiple children. Not everyone is going to be happy. In fact, the only guarantee is that someone or someones are going to be unhappy. Very unhappy.
Growth happens during this unhappiness. Children and parent's limits will be tested and extended. The key is to not lose it. It being your patience and temper. Children and parents learn to work through adversity and seek understanding with each other. The family road trip offers many opportunities to put others first and experience new things together. Who knows what's around the next bend? Not me! But I do like an adventure.
Did I mention that I'm taking the family to Disney World this summer? I am. And were taking the van.

Taking a roadtrip to Florida is no easy feat! Kudos to you for having the patients and will power to do this. You are one amazing guy! Your kiddos are lucky to have you as their dad!
ReplyDeleteI am always up for a roadtrip. I am at the point in my life where my kids are doing their own thing and my youngest doesn't want to be seen with me anywhere because I am embarrassing! I started taking my sister and a best friend from school with me now. Oh how I miss the arguments over where we are going to eat lunch and supper!! Nobody could EVER decided.
